MONDAY MENTAL PROTEIN: Are You Your Own Enemy?

Let’s talk truth…governments around the world are weak, economists forecasts for the world’s economy is bleak, employment numbers are up and many are cowering in fear, surrendering to the status quo, adopting the excuses of the media and the masses.MONDAY MENTAL PROTEIN by Vinesh Maharaj

Now let me flip the coin on you…governments are still collecting billions in taxes, economies (personal and business) are growing, companies are minting dollars and many are taking advantage and are rising above the dictates of mass hysteria and media gloom.

The old adage; “is the glass half full or half empty”.  Yes it’s all perspective.  How do you see it?  Is it a problem or do you see the opportunity?  You can hide behind excuses or you can rise to action.  Even in the world’s most depressed economies there are new millionaire and billionaire debutants.  How do you explain that?  Well, simply it means those people are dictating their own reality.  The refuse to subscribe to the opinions of others, for factually is the glass half empty or half full is really just an opinion, reflecting your reality.

You must ask, are you your own enemy, holding yourself back on the accounts of others…forcing their reality upon you?  Reality is a choice.  Winners are creating their own reality perpetually.  They see the way around, through, over and under the “problem”, for they see them as opportunities.  They are willing to do what others are not willing to do, because everyone else only sees the pain.  Winners only see the gain which they are willing to pay for with effort.

The next time you choose your reality ask yourself?  Am I a victim of my own reality?  Or am I championing my cause, from the front, creating a reality that serves my success?  Are you getting down and dirty where others want to keep their hands clean?  By making more calls, investing in your networks, growing your skills and pushing harder while others are retreating, you are are sure to dominate the future.  If you fall asleep at the wheel, surely you can’t win the race.  So wake up and get committed, creating a reality that sees you and your team mount the summit of success.

Stop being your own enemy.  Commit to never becoming a victim of your own dogma.  Rather champion your reality and make it happen.

7 Habits Of The World’s Highest Paid Rainmakers

Rainmaker by Vinesh MaharajThe world has many unsung rainmakers, men and women who make it rain daily.  They sell planes, trains and automobiles. They move world economies. They sell IT solutions, homes, industrial development parks, they are network marketers, they are sports professionals, CEO’s and entrepreneurs who move tons of products and services and bank serious amounts of cash.  They drive company direction and results.  They create and innovate.  They see opportunity where everyone else sees problems and they cash in on it.

Rain makers do whatever it takes to succeed. They start early and finish late. They network and dine with other A – Listers in pursuit of the holy grail. Here are some insights into the habits of super successful rainmakers:

1. Result driven – Rainmakers kill it. They aren’t willing to surrender. They push, shove, grind and produce at ever increasing frequencies to hit “bulls eye”.  They create and deliver results.

2. They own their think – Rain makers are not engaged in small talk, negativity or goal distractions. They choose their thoughts, thought inputs and associates to control what they think, hear, talk or experience.  Its almost like being in a tunnel that goes straight to the target exclusively.  They have laser like focus.

3.  Decisive – Rain makers are decisive.  The decide…commit and act.  Once the decision is taken, they never look back.  They are forward thinking, movers and shakers.

4.  Play books – Rainmakers have many play books so they can ensure their result, whatever the scenario.  If the economy goes down, if the exchange rate goes up, if demand slows down, if demand increases etc.  They come armed with preparation.  They play to win.

5. They never eat alone – All actions, communications and resources are focused on ONE thing only…”the mark”. Breakfast, coffee, lunch and dinner are opportunities. They never eat alone. They dine with networks, prospects or customers.  They build relationships, unlock networks and close deals.

6. They work their work – Rainmakers, do whatever it takes to get it done, to close the deal. They are always learning, studying and skilling themselves to close in on opportunities before anyone else sees them.

7. BANK – Rainmakers bank serious cash in salaries, incentives, bonuses and commissions. They take all the money off the table. They are the top 20% of all industries.

How much do Rainmakers earn (2015):

Bernard Fornas, Co-CEO, Richemont SA, R88 million +

Cristiano Ronaldo, Footballer, Real Madrid (Spain), £57 million +

Jennifer Lawrence, Actress, Hollywood, $52 million +

Lebron James, Basketball Pro, $71 million +

VINESH MAHARAJ – 4 Keys to Unlock Your Success

MONDAY MENTAL PROTEIN: Peak Performance

Peak PerformanceThe ability to rise and shine 365 days a year is a difficult feat for anyone. There are always obstacles and opportunities at every turn which can in fact drain your physical, emotional and intellectual energies. More so when you are dealing with sustained personal or professional crisis. Stress, a silent killer can be quietly eating away at you. You then slowly reduce or increase your appetite, sleep becomes a luxury, yet the list of deliverables on your plate continues to mount.

The mind and body is an intricate, complex and sophisticated union. Taking great care of both will give you the edge in all aspects of your being, while failing to, will yield the inevitable crisis none of us can afford.

Today I wish to share with you 7 Peak Performance Habits to Master:

One – Get enough shut eye

Burning the midnight oil on both ends, leaves you exhausted, unfocused and unproductive. Get sufficient, regulated sleep. It varies from between 4 – 6 hours per person. Should you suffer sleepless nights, consult a sleep doctor who can assist you in finding regular, quality sleep. Beware that oversleeping can also cause drudgery in your day. So get to bed and make it count, don’t count sheep. The edge you have when well rested is high energy, clarity of thinking and definiteness of purpose.

“To be prepared is half the victory” – Miguel Cervantes

Two – Work out

I know how busy you are. Dawn to dusk and some more chasing duty, responsibility and accountability. I know you’re busy. That should be no excuse for the investment in your physical health. Take time out of your schedule to run, swim, gym etc. Peak performers are in peak shape because they get the return on investment in the physical activity. They’re brighter, more alert, sharper, more focused and lethal in the work place. A healthy body is a healthy mind. Execute and get results.

“Cry in training, laugh on the battlefield” – Samurai Maxim

Three – Eat like a king

I don’t mean consume unlimited low quality, high quantities of processed foods. Mother nature has gifted us fruits, nuts, berries, cherries and many other high oxidant foods that supply the heart and brain fuel to achieve your goals. Why not take advantage of these? Cut back on the junk and minimize the trunk. Drink lots of water through your days. Not only does it hydrate, it also aids the brain function, keeping you on point for longer. You are what you eat, so eat like a champion.

“Simplicity is the key to brilliance” – Bruce Lee

Four – Fill your cup

Whatever your religious or spiritual persuasion, fill your cup. When connected there is magic in everything you do. Attend, participate and learn the wisdom of ancient teachings and apply them to your daily life. There is power in spirit, greater than matter. An empty cup makes a lot of noise, but a full cup beams with wisdom. Go on, fill it up…

“Make no small plans for they have no power to stir the soul” –Niccolo Machiavelli

Five – Invest in You Inc.

Invest in your becoming. Buy and read books that will grow your inner self and your income. Attend workshops and courses that make you better than you were yesterday. Sacrifice time and money and the return on this investment will make you unstoppable and will also line your bank account. You are your greatest asset, make it count for something. Do something for yourself and in turn will do for your family. Invest in YOU Inc. before you sink in the ocean of competition, new technology and ideology. Become a free thinker, not a dogmatic slave.

“Imagine the possibility of unlimited possibilities” – Unknown

Six – Choose your friends

When you hang out with losers, don’t be surprised where you end up…yes “Loserville”. Hang out with people who share your values, your aspirations, your ambitions. They will fuel you to go out and do whatever it takes. They will unlock doors of opportunity, make new introductions to key people who can assist you in becoming all that you be. So, choose your friends wisely.

“To think is easy. To act is hard. But the hardest thing in the world is to act in accordance with your thinking” – Goethe

Seven – Rest & Relaxation

Make sure you get enough rest and relaxation. Play outdoors in nature. Go for long walks on the beach, forest or mountains. The fresh air and beautiful scenery will give you new inspirational ideas, unlock your creativity and soothe your mind. Take advantage of early morning sunrise walks while the phone does not ring. While everyone else is asleep. Join a yoga class that uses nature as its backdrop. Watch the sunset while having a picnic with your partner. Rest your mind and tap into pure energy.

“You can motivate by fear, and you can motivate by reward. But both those methods are only temporary. The only lasting thing is self motivation” – Homer Rice

Remember, exceptional results only come from exceptional efforts.Exceptional efforts only come from exceptional people. Become that exceptional person, start by committing to becoming that person of value then regardless of the challenges on hand, you can handle them like the champ you are.

“You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one” – James Froude
